About me

My name is Alexander Penev. I am an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at the Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski". I have a PhD in Computer Science (Plovdiv University, 2013), after defending a thesis on "Open hybrid systems for geometric modeling"
This is my personal website. Here you will find information about me, my current active projects, and information and study materials for the courses I currently teach.
My interests are mainly in the field of computer graphics (geometric modeling, algorithms for photo realistic visualization, OpenGL), programming languages, visual languages and environments for programming, compilers and automated optimization software applications.
